Organisers of Palmerston North’s Real Earth environmental film festival have released a jam-packed programme for 2019 featuring 29 films from around the globe.

While the city’s Globe Theatre is the home of the festival this year, a selection of the films will also be screened at Te Manawa, Spiers Centre, IPU, UCOL atrium and St Mary Magdalene Church Hall, Ashhurst. Two public open-air shows are lined up for The Square and a George Street alley, both free entry.

Films are the work of film-makers across New Zealand and around the world.

Guest speakers, ready to engage in Q & A sessions and audience discussions at key films, include prominent New Zealand film-makers and well=respected scientists.

Topics include plastic pollution, climate action, food, transport and biodiversity.

Reel Earth is New Zealand’s only film festival that focuses specifically on nature and the environment.
