Trustees of the National Pacific Radio Trust are looking forward to meet and engage with the Hamilton community during the occasion of the Pasifika Fan Fest on November 4th.

Chairman Tiumalu Peter Faafiu said the aim is to discuss the service performance and significant initiatives of PMN. He said the trust wants to engage with Pacific communities around what PMN has achieved oven the last 12 months.

“It’s an exciting time for the board and staff of PMN to celebrate not only our Pasifika sportsmen from Tonga and Samoa but also gives the team a chance to talk about how NPRT can continue to work and support Pacific communities across the country.”

The meeting is one of a series of ‘fonos’ that the Trust undertake each year and this time, they have decided to kick off a series of meetings starting in Hamilton.

The Trust, which operates radio stations Niu FM, Radio 531pi, Pacific Radio News and the nine Pacific language programmes, encourage the Pasifika community to come and engage with the Trustees whilst soaking in the atmosphere of the Pasifika Fan Fest.

The Pasifika Fan Fest is an event supporting the Rugby League World Cup game to be played between the two nations of Tonga and Samoa.
