Hastings District Councillor Jacoby Poulain says this year’s theme ‘Be the Change’ is a great chance for young people to take action and influence change in their communities.
As part of Youth Week, motivational speaker Mary Kippenberger will lead a discussion on how to deal with bullying. The discussions will be held at Flaxmere Library, Wednesday 21 May at 3.45pm and again at Havelock North Library onThursday 22 May at 3.45pm.
A series of life skills workshops will take place at the Hastings Library during the week of 17- 25 May which will include subjects ranging from car maintenance to financial planning.
Jacoby Poulain says “Everyone is encouraged to get behind Youth Week and join with us in celebrating our young people. By providing youths with positive tools and information we can help them, help themselves.”
