For 21 years, world-renowned time management expert Robyn Pearce has been sharing her experiences and knowledge with clients and readers around the world. Interestingly, once a solo mother of six on a government benefit, Robyn wasn’t always on the right side of the organisational spectrum but she managed to turn her greatest weakness into her greatest strength and will be holding a workshop, in Christchurch on the 4th of April 2013, to show others how they can do the same.
Speaking of her earlier struggles, Robyn explains “after a few long years I decided to fight my way out of the poverty trap. I ended up in real estate and the number one lesson I learned along the way was the value of good time management. To start with I was kicked out of meetings for being late, plus I burnt out numerous times from over work and poor work habits.”
After receiving a few wise words as well as a proper diary from a friend, Robyn set about turning her lemons into lemonade and has made time-management the basis of her successful international business. Having spent two decades coaching time management strategies, Robyn has fine-tuned her approach so that it is attainable to everyone, regardless of their industry or position.
“It’s a huge buzz these days helping others make the same changes to their life as they learn and practice the many simple and practical productivity habits that changed my life so dramatically. One of the women I worked with ran her own business and the month after coming to a seminar she doubled her income by implementing some simple time management techniques. It’s easy to save at least an extra hour per day as little changes can have a profound impact,” she says.
Her upcoming Christchurch workshop on time management is being held as a part of the 2013 Breakfast Club series, run by Gettingagrip.com, which she presents around the country.
Running from 7-9am the workshop rotates around New Zealand main centres and is held in Christchurch approximately once every three months. It was started a year ago, in response to demand for Robyn’s time and is continually increasing in audience size. The workshops focus on a main topic, such as prioritising, email management, or delegation and also provide participants with other timesaving strategies to increase productivity. They give business owners and corporates the opportunity to get a motivational injection and focus on a particular element of time management without having to miss a day at the office.
Workshop details: “Getting a grip on paper & the office environment.” Getting a Grip Breakfast Club, Christchurch, Thursday the 4th of April, from 7.00am – 9.00am at the Russley Golf Course. Ticket price: $95 + GST. Go to www.gettingagrip.com/breakfastclub for more details.
