Twist-filled parody of British murder mysteries. Guests of a wealthy lady of the manor play out their roles aware they are playing characters in a mystery story. Mobile art labs have been developed by a number of artists and collectives across the world as a means to take control of the production and presentation of their work. They take many forms from rickshaws to shipping containers but all are a response to the needs of artists wishing to find new ways to interact with their environments and communities. The development of a mobile art lab for Wellington will provide a resource for artists across the City to explore the creative potential of mobile and digital technology. It will give artists the independence and flexibility to produce and present their work and so be in control of the whole process in contrast to the constraints imposed by current funding and gallery systems.

Simon Gray is an artist and has worked on community and education based projects for the past twenty years and is excited about the possibilities that digital technologies can bring to developing creative projects.

As part of a new funding initiative from NZ Film Commission & NZ on Air, the Learning Connexion were part of the core team that won this competition, making a feature film for 100,000 screened in the NZ film festival and now enjoying a general release around the country.
