In 1974 at the ISKCON temple, Mayapur, the founder and spiritual master of the movement A.C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada saw many hungry people coming to eat. He told his disciples “In our temples, within ten miles radius nobody should remain hungry. After that an ISKCON Food for life program was started to distribute free food to millions of people. Since its inception the Hare Krishna Food for Life has distributed over 100 million plates .
Accordingly it is our pleasure carry on these traditions. Swami Prabhupada was an extraordinary person who dedicated his life to teaching the world about Krishna Consciousness, ancient India’s most noble message of spiritual wisdom.
The Hare Krishna Festival will be full of freebies and one of which will be a play of vibrant and eye catching rang (colours). So jump in and spoil yourself to this tradition that is not be missed by anyone! Colours will be provided.
Ice cream, drinks and other wonderful Indian snacks will be available separately for a small charge.
